Leadership
Kirk Ferrell
Kirk Ferrell is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Flat World Holdings. A transportation, logistics, and supply chain industry veteran, he began his career as a Management Trainee for Yellow Freight Systems. After a 19 year career at Yellow, Kirk and his fellow co-founder and Managing Partner Jeff Rothermich launched Flat World Supply Chain in 2006.
Flat World Supply Chain has since grown to become Flat World Holdings, a family of businesses that includes Flat World Supply Chain, Flat World Hospitality, International, Ram Custom Crating, and Prologue Technology. Kirk and Jeff are proud of the company they’ve grown—but they are most proud of the team of people who’ve helped build that company, and are now part of the Flat World family.
Kirk is a graduate of Texas A&M – Commerce (formerly East Texas State University), and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He and his wife Helaena have two children, and are also proud grandparents.
Jeff Rothermich
Jeff Rothermich is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Flat World Holdings. Prior to co-founding the company, Jeff began his career in the transportation and logistics industry at a customs house broker and international freight forwarder. Jeff then moved to Yellow Transportation, serving as Director of Business Development for Meridian IQ/YRC Logistics prior to leaving and co-founding Flat World with fellow co-founder and Managing Partner Kirk Ferrell.
From its start on two laptops in a coffee shop, Flat World Supply Chain has since grown to become Flat World Holdings, a family of businesses that includes Flat World Supply Chain, Flat World Hospitality, International, Custom Crating, and Prologue Technology. Jeff and Kirk both feel fortunate to work with employees who consistently strive for excellence. That culture of excellence has made the company one of the fastest growing supply chain solutions providers in the country.
Jeff has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Marycrest University, and an MBA in International Business from Webster University. Jeff and his wife Jennifer have been married since 2000, and have two children.
