Flat World Holdings is proud to announce that the employees, friends, and family members of our companies raised more than $11,000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater of St. Louis (DSAGSL) at our annual “Delivering Wishes” event held on May 11, 2017.
DSAGSL benefits the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families through a lifetime of support, education, and advocacy. The Flat World employee team selected the organization to be the focus of this year’s fundraiser after previously raising money for Grant Me Hope, an organization supporting adoption, and the greater St. Louis chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
These combined efforts have raised almost $40,000 for the organizations supported by Flat World Holdings. This year’s participating organization, DSAGSL, was selected in part because of personal experiences many of our employees have had with friends and family with Down syndrome.
Those experiences gave the Flat World team a heart for this cause, and the results showed.
“The credit for the success of the Delivering Wishes program goes to an amazing group of employees,” said Bryan Curtis, Flat World’s Vice President of Operations. “They really poured their heart into this event and this cause. I’m proud to work for our company and with this group of people, especially when they come together and pool their talent to make a difference in the lives of people who face significant challenges. Their work is a shining example of how a culture of excellence is measured by more than just the amount of sales or customers we have, but by the impact we make on the world around us.”
Flat World Holdings will continue to make “Delivering Wishes” a significant part of the company’s culture, and looks forward to working with nonprofits and charitable organizations that make a difference in the lives of people who need it most.
