Air2Post Coordinator

Wood Dale, IL


This newly created position is a supervisor level role based in our Chicago office (Wood Dale, IL). This role, initially, will have no direct reports, however, will be intended to develop into a team leadership position. This person will be expected to quickly grasp the concept of Air2Post within the ecommerce industry and how it is being developed within Flat World Global Solutions. This newly created position will participate in all aspects of the daily operation of Air2Post and systematically undertake responsibilities for supporting tasks.

Air2Prost Coordinator Position

Essential Functions:

This role will go through thorough training on all aspects of Air2Post operations from shipment creation at origin to delivery by the FMC during the first 30 days after being hired. During that time, this person along with their leader will identify tasks best suited for this role to initially support and conduct further training of those tasks.

Specific Areas of Responsibility that may be delegated (all or part) to this position based on aptitude and successful training:

Customer Service/Marketing/Sales:

  • Internal/External Customer Support.
  • Customer Inquiry Handling. Marketing/Trade Show Support.
  • Marketing/Trade Show Support.

Performance Management:

  • Gather data, manage reports, analyze, and discuss outcomes with internal departments supporting the Air2Post service.


  • Manage current Cost Model.
  • Audit Carrier Invoices.
  • Prepare/Audit Customer Invoices.
  • Interact with FWGS Finance.

Final Mile Carrier Management:

  • Interact with FMC’s to support Air2Post and Customer Requirements.
  • Manage FMC Contract performance.
  • Manage FMC Delivery Performance against commitments.
  • Assist with USPS Account Management: Interact with USPS sites and support personnel; Manage Air2Post account.

In addition to the above Specific Areas of Responsibility that is currently handled by the Director of Air2Post, this role will have the opportunity to learn and potentially support other aspects of the Air2Post Service such as:


  • Transportation Inbound/Outbound.
  • Scan/Sort Operations.
  • Customer Returns Management.
  • CBP Clearance Management.
  • Inbound Services: Origin Air Freight/Export; Destination Customs Clearance.


  • A2P Platform Support and Development.
  • Customer Portal.
  • Internal Portal.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • Working Knowledge of current Ram International systems and operations: Cargowise; Inbound Operations; Customs Operations; Warehouse Operations
  • Background in Post and Parcel ecommerce.
  • Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft products.
  • Microsoft Excel Skills: The ability to build and/or understand basic to mildly advance formulas. Macro skills a plus.
    Knowledge of Pivot tables. Knowledge of Data Manipulation.
  • Working knowledge or ability to quickly adapt to various video/audio collaboration tools.
  • Basic auditing skills.
  • Ability to manage outside vendor/client relationships. Initial expectation will be to work with USPS (with supervision/guidance).
  • Strong team ethic that will allow this individual to effectively interact with all departments
    within Flat World Global Solutions to successfully support Air2Post.
  • Ability to see patterns/trends within Chaos.
  • Time management / organizational skills.

Desired Qualities:

  • This individual will need to be curious and creative in their approach to learning new tasks.
  • Have the confidence to ask questions and make suggestions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
  • Broad knowledge of the logistics industry.
  • The desire for continuous training and improving on essential functions/skill set.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities to begin with. Employee growth may require this skill in the future.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 08:00 CT to 17:00 CT. Supporting an International customer base will require occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand.
