Purpose of Role

We are looking for a motivated OTR Network Solution Logistics Coordinator that does not shy away from thorough hard work and is willing to continuously go the second mile.  Their goal is to build and maintain a strategic network of partner carriers to ensure depth with our carrier utilization, keeping carriers within our network via continuous moves, and capturing capacity as it becomes available.  Maintaining drop trailer pools and ensuring our clients and carriers alike are communicated with the Flat World standard of excellence.

 

Responsibilities / Skills

  • Overall face to the carrier, representing Flat World OTR Network Solution with upmost integrity and excellence.
  • Develop, promote and increase carrier relationships on a strategic level by linking large volume client lanes with our carrier networks capacity.
  • Develop and manage our database of outside carriers / contractors to grow our carrier base by focusing on overall carrier utilization in order to recycle carriers and prevent one off usage.
  • Negotiate beyond price to demonstrate value for the carrier, essentially becoming an extension of the carrier and driving freight to their capacity needs.
  • Work hand in hand with the OTR Network Solutions Project Manager, OTR Team Lead, OTR Managing Director, Brokerage Account Managers (BAMs) and Brokerage Operations Reps (BORs) to strategically capitalize on building static routes with potential drop trailers solutions.
  • Managing the OTR leased trailer pool (insurance, maintenance, logos, Samsara devices, e-tracks, etc.)
  • Continually evaluate the OTR Network solution freight mix with the standard brokerage freight mix to find synergies.
  • Marry up the RVX service offering with the OTR Network Solution to ensure we are using backhaul freight to fill RVX loads.
  • Resolving issues that might arise concerning dedicated partner carriers, issues on loads related to carriers, breakdowns, and anything carrier related with client product is en-route.
  • Ensuring the OTR network has a robust network of carriers that are willing to partner with us and become dedicated capacity for our customers.
  • Some travel up to 20% is possible

Education/ Certifications / Basic Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred but not required.
  • General knowledge of business and transportation is required as well as a positive and highly motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and desire for professional growth.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a sales or customer relations capacity is preferred
