3 Exciting Things Happening at Flat World Holdings

Posted On October 4, 2016

Flat World Holdings celebrated a significant milestone a few weeks ago, and we thought it would be a good time to share some of the exciting things happening for our family of companies.

Here they are:

1. Our team has created a culture of operational excellence…for a whole decade.

On September 16th, Flat World Holdings employees and customers came together at the O’Fallon, Missouri headquarters to celebrate 10 years of providing innovative logistics solutions to entrepreneurs and manufacturers across the country. Festivities included a ribbon-cutting for the company’s expanded headquarters facility, as well as visits from O’Fallon Mayor Bill Hennessy, St. Charles County Economic Development Center CEO Greg Prestemon, and the presentation of a congressional proclamation from Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer’s office.

“It was really humbling to receive recognition from these individuals,” said Flat World Holdings Co-Founder and Managing Partner Jeff Rothermich. “However, the best part of that celebration was seeing our employees and their families come together, along with customers, to have fun, and participate in celebrating the culture that’s made our company what it is.”

“We are so proud of that team, and look forward to where they will take us in the next 10 years.”

2. Flat World Holdings is continuing its commitment to charity.

Flat World Holdings and its family of companies, including Flat World Supply Chain and RAM International, are proud to announce that we are continuing our charitable efforts this fall by raising funds for the Michigan-based organization, Grant Me Hope.

Grant Me Hope uses marketing strategies to help children within the foster-care system find an adoptive family. The organization focuses specifically on children who are deemed “unadoptable.” Often these children are perceived this way because they are teenagers, are in sibling groups, or have medical and/or emotional challenges. Grant Me Hope’s mission is to find these children homes before they transition out of the foster care system.

Flat World Supply Chain and RAM International will host a fundraiser benefiting the organization on Thursday, October 20th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Moretti’s Ristorante (1175 W. Lake St., Bartlett, IL 60103). Auction organizers request donations from the community of entertainment tickets, artwork, electronics, gift cards, and other items.

The revenue generated from the auction will benefit Grant Me Hope and their mission to find homes and create a better future for the children served by the program.

If you are interested in attending you can register for the event today, and you can also donate to the auction.

3. RAM International is expanding to Dallas-Fort Worth.

RAM International will open a second gateway location at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Adding DFW to its existing locations in St Louis and Chicago expands their footprint and service offerings in an entirely new region.

“It’s an exciting time for RAM International and the entire Flat World Holdings team,” said RAM Chief Operating Officer Jeff Goris. “As a team we are focused on growing the right way. That happens by building a culture of operational excellence, with a team that can lead us as we strategically expand.”

“It’s hard work to grow as fast as we are growing—which is why the culture building we do across our companies is so important.”
