The Flat World Holdings family of companies is proud to announce that our team—along with our friends, families, and sponsors—raised $26,352 for the Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation, a Missouri-based charity that assists families who have children struggling with congenital heart defects.

The event marks the fourth time the Flat World family has raised money for charities through our “Delivering Wishes” fundraisers. Other recipients include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis, and Grant Me Hope. Combined, the “Delivering Wishes” program has raised more than $60,000 in its four-year existence, all of which is donated to the event’s designated charity.

“Delivering Wishes is an employee-driven, employee ran program,” said Jeff Rothermich, Flat World Holdings Managing Partner and co-founder. “We could not be prouder of our team. In our organization we focus on excellence as a company value, and this program is the biggest example of how seriously our team takes their commitment to that principle, and to their community.”

The committee responsible for the Delivering Wishes program includes Deirdre Guice, Dani Vitale, Lauren Keppel, Julie Lynch, Shane Sullivan, Pam Catiller, Dorra Lee, Kat Row, Ada Linhoff, Stacey Gallagher, Tara Steinbach, Charlie Conners, Sandy Hill, Trisha Edler and Kevin Fultz.

Their work was supported by the rest of the Flat World family, including more than 150 attendees and more than 100 donors and sponsors.

“You hear a lot about someone’s ‘Why’ in today’s business environment,” said Deirdre Guice, Flat World Supply Chain Operations Manager. “For our team, this event is a big part of our ‘why’. Getting to work in a culture where doing good is just as important as doing well is inspiring—and so is the Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation. The work they do on behalf of families facing significant heart-related challenges is important, and we are proud to have partnered with them for two years in a row.”
